This is a heat map showing the probablity of scoring from different locations in the Premiership.  Higher probablities of scoring are represented by deeper shades of red.  The two dark blue lobes just outside the eighteen-yard box are "dead zones" from which it is difficult to score, perhaps because of the way the central defenders position themselves.
