This infographic shows transfers of elite footballers during a season.  Each circle represents a country, and the lines represent transfers. The size of the circles and the thickness of the lines are proportional to the number of players transferred. 

The different colours represent different mathematically  defined  “transfer communities”.  The countries in a transfer community trade more often within their transfer community and less often outside their transfer community .
